In 1970, Hacienda Pairumani was opened for the first time and large-scale agricultural and dairy work began. Later, the Centro de Investigaciones Fitoecogenéticas de Pairumani was opened in Cochabamba, which was dedicated to seed research. In 1989, seed production began at the Pairumani Seed Center. In 1996, the Simón I. Patiño Center for Applied Ecology (now Hacienda Patiño) was opened. Patiño (now Hacienda Patiño) was opened in Santa Cruz, where agricultural and livestock activities were expanded.
Since 2021, all of these have formed the agroecology pillar of the Patiño Foundation.
